TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Favourite Literary Fathers

Top 5 Wednesday is set up by the lovely Lainey at GingerReadsLainey if you want to pop over and have a look at her channel. Let's have a look at the topic for today!

Favourite Literary Fathers

5) Hans Hubermann - The Book Thief
I just don't even know how to describe Hans Hubermann. He is truly a gentleman and really tries hard to be a father to Liesel. I just love him and they chose the perfect actor, Geoffrey Rush, to play him in the film.

4) Arthur Weasley - Harry Potter Series
You might have noticed that Molly Weasley was on my Favourite Mother's list too because this family is so amazing. They have 6 children themselves and yet still treat Harry and Hermione like their own. I love how Arthur becomes a step-in father to Harry and really cares about him.

3) Ned Stark - A Song of Ice and Fire Series
Okay, so he isn't an obvious choice for a caring father award BUT Ned Stark teaches his children loyalty, respect and bags them all direwolves! I mean, what more can you ask for? The legacy to the Stark children. He's a man of honour is our Ned.

2) Haymitch Abernathy - The Hunger Games
Again, an unusual choice but I have my reasons. He doesn't have to care about Katniss but he does and tries his best for her. He also backs her up 100% and is like the only fatherly figure in her life. Plus, he is straight to the point just like Katniss.

1) Uncle Monty - ASOUE Series
Although he is a small part of this series, I love Uncle Monty. Simply because he wants to be a great father to the orphans and cares about their need for adventure and escapism. He is a generally nice guy and we all know what happens to nice guys.

WOO! That was this week's Top 5 Wednesday, stay tuned for next week's!
