There are a few different narratives in this book. The main narratives come from cousins Roxanna and Sapphire which I find to be polar opposites. It's nice to hear from the different perspectives as they are very different and see the whole circumstances totally differently.
Basically, Roxanna and Sapphire's parents have shipped them off to their Aunt Valesca's in the middle of nowhere for the Summer. This is Sapphire's worst nightmare because she is a serious spoilt brat. Brought up in LA on money and not attention, whereas Roxanna doesn't want all the attention she has been getting.
Both cousin's are put to work, Roxanna in the vets and Sapphire in the garden. I love how well crafted Sapphire is and how the story twists and turns so that we see a different side to her. Roxanna is a mystery in herself and very closed off, doesn't want to be seen, just heard. Her YouTube channel lets her escape into another World where she can just sing and be herself.
I could seriously go on and on about this book but overall I really enjoyed this read that i'd described as short and sweet. A beautiful ending with a twist in between, one that I would recommend giving a go!
