TUESDAY TALKS: As a reader, what are your do's and don'ts for publishers?

So today i'm bringing you a...

This is set up by the wonderful Janie over at Bookworms Buddy, and Janelle at MrsJRodsReads. This really fun-to-do segment is basically, as the name implies, a talk each Tuesday about a book-related topic.

And this week's topic is:

As a reader, what are your do's and don'ts for publishers?

My do's and don'ts are mainly surrounding how a book looks. For example the cover, I'm fed up of generic YA covers with the picture of a girl on the front!

However, a main DON'T for me is when publishers decide halfway through a series to change the cover. Seriously do not do this to me! It really cripples my OCD and love of a book or series when they do this. My poor book shelf doesn't match...

All of my don'ts for publishers are aesthetic, I never have a problem with the actual content although I would like books to have warnings on them. For example, swearing, violence and sex. Just like how films do because I think children are exposed to those things enough with films and TV.

That's it for this week's Tuesday Talks!

Let me know some of your do's and don'ts
