TUESDAY TALKS: How do you feel about Pseudonyms?

So today i'm bringing you a...

This is set up by the wonderful Janie over at Bookworms Buddy, and Janelle at MrsJRodsReads. This really fun-to-do segment is basically, as the name implies, a talk each Tuesday about a book-related topic.

And this week's topic is:

How do you feel about Pseudonyms?

I feel like it's totally the author's right to have a Pseudonym, why not eh? Sometimes it can work out good for the reader because you won't realise who the book is by so you don't go into it with expectations. That might explain why J.K Rowling used the pseudonym Robert Galbraith to write books after the Harry Potter series. She didn't want the hype and expectations of her fanbase. Also, she wanted to write in total contrast to what she is famous for so why the hell not slap a pseudonym on there too!
I'm pretty sure people think that this is an outdated idea, like it's totally fine for you to write a book no matter what your gender, race, creed, age etc. But for some people, that security of a Pseudonym protects their identity, maybe they don't want to be in the limelight?

My final word on this subject is going to be 'everyone to their own'.

That's it for this week's Tuesday Talks!

Let me know what you think about pseudonyms in the comments below...
